TO mark the occasion of the annual Salon del Mobile in Milan, luxury jewellery brand Bulgari teamed up with celebrated architect Zaha Hadid on a Serpenti installation in the garden of the Bulgari Hotel in Milan from 14 to 19 April. Hadid’s creative touch can also be seen with a special window display at the Bulgari store in via Montenapoleone, designed for the occasion of Milan design week.
For the installation, Hadid took inspiration from the iconic Bulgari serpent. The event also featured an exhibition of Bulgari Serpenti creations from the 1960s to the present, showcased in a geometrical structure. One of the collection highlights on show was the new Serpenti tubogas necklace, which combines pink gold and pave diamonds coiled around, intertwining the contemporary feel of tubogas with the movement of the snake.
At a launch event for the installation, Bulgari brought together a unique group of designers, creatives and international jet setters to mark the occasion, including Zaha Hadid, Bulgari’s CEO Jean-Christophe Babin, actress and model Nastassja Kinski, architect and designer Philippe Starck, artist Francesco Vezzoli and architect and designer Antonio Citterio.
