FOLLOWING the launch of the Puma x Stampd Clyde shoe, the brands have released another collaboration for both men and women, which complements the minimalist functionality of the trainer design.
The SS17 line marries Puma’s technological expertise with Stampd’s contemporary, nonchalant aesthetic which combines both sharp tailoring and sport grunge. The collection, designed by Stampd’s eponymous creative director Chris Stamp, derives additional inspiration from the active and dynamic – though all the while – stylish Californian lifestyle.
With surfers and urban-nomads in mind, each piece has been designed under a “96 hours” concept, allowing the wearer to segue comfortably, and fashionably, from morning to evening during weekends away along America’s vibrant West Coast.
The pioneering Jackpack, for example, fuses a wind jacket with a backpack, providing protection from the elements as well as a lightweight and comfortable means of storage – perfect for coastal hikes and lengthy beach days. Other pieces include casual sweat pants, classic tees, 2-in-1 shorts and an innovative parka with a water-repellent shell.
The Puma x Stampd collection has a muted colour palette and a minimalistic silhouette, and is thus effortlessly sophisticated and entirely on-trend while remaining thoroughly practical and exceptionally comfortable.
