RENOWNED for its collaborations with pioneering artists, Italian fashion brand Prada has released a series of five short films, The Postman Dreams, directed by American director and photographer Autumn de Wilde, who is well-known for her portraiture of musicians. Each film – The Postman, The Makeout, The Battlefield, The Tree and The Laundromat – features the Prada Galleria bag in a range of scenarios in the day in the life of a hapless postman, who is intended by de Wilde to be a metaphor for personal communication, in which fantasy and reality blur, becoming unstuck and distorted.
The films can be watched in any order and have a soundtrack by The Blasting Company, a Los Angeles nouveau gypsy band, which is central to the narrative of each short.
The Prada Galleria is available in Saffiano lux leather, crocodile and ostrich in unexpected as well as classic shades, including tailor-made variations on crocodile and ostrich through a special made-to-order service.
