Maggie’s is a cancer charity that takes a unique approach to their work – their 18 architecturally distinctive centres have been designed to create comforting environments that simultaneously hearten, aid and inspire recovery and reinforcing well-being.

The scarves are a result of Begg & Co designers joining forces with Maggies team and reflect the charity centres unique architectural features. All profits from the collaboration will aid Maggies far – reaching effort to support cancer sufferers and their familys in their day to day struggle.

This generous contribution will enable the charity in their ambitious path to reach out to maximum number of patients and their nearest and dearest across UK, abroad and online. The charitable collaboration came to life thanks to Kirsty Wark, journalist and broadcaster and Maggie’s Honorary Patron, who introduced the manufacturer to the charity.

The designs include elaborate forms placed on plain backgrounds – a black and blue piece inspired by garden at Maggie’s Dundee and Chartres Cathedral in France and featuring a labyrinth that carries a metaphor of life and yellow and a blue and white scarf with oval patterns that was prompted by Maggie’s Aberdeen skylight. There are also simpler propositions – a white scarf with four coloured edge that reflect the straightforward, linear architecture of all Maggie’s Centres and a checked scarf that dwells into the visual heritage of both brands.
