Tickets Announced For New Designers 2017, Business Design Centre

NEW DESIGNERS, UK’s most important trade exhibition for emerging talent which open to the public, has announced  that tickets are now available for this year’s show. Now in its 32nd edition, New Designers is one of the most prominent industry shows thanks to its unique blend of design education, consumers and industry all mixed together to celebrate emerging talent. Taking place this June at the Business Design Centre, Islington,  the event is renowned for kick-starting the careers by providing a promotional platform for young creatives.

Divided into two parts, the exhibition introduces over 3,000 design graduates to the wider public and also gives the visitors the chance to purchase their creations.

The first three days will present the latest talent in textiles and fashion, costume design, jewellery and metalwork, ceramics and glass and contemporary design crafts. The following days will feature exhibitors in the disciplines of furniture, product and industrial design, spatial design and interiors, graphic design, illustration, animation, motion and digital arts.

As New Designers’ organisers strive to show completely new content each year, and also includes a One Year On retrospective presenting the progress of  exhibitors from previous years.

ESMOD Berlin Presents 2016 Graduate Fashion Show

ESMOD Berlin, an International University of Arts and Fashion, presents their 2016 graduate fashion show. Designers and fashion professionals graduating from their prestigious bachelor programme will show their final works during an event this week.

The event will follow through the shows of 31 designers hailing from 16 countries. The attendees will also have the opportunity to explore the industry – relevant topics examined and developed by other graduates of the programme, all revolving around the notions of sustainability and the future of fashion.

The graduate shows take place on October 22 in Loewe Saal, Berlin.
The show starts at 4pm with the doors opening at 3pm for the audience.

Aalto Arts University and Juni Agency present Exhibition of Finnish Fashion Designers

An exhibition celebrating the best of Finnish young design talent has been organised by Helsinki-based communication and production agency Juni in collaboration with Aalton University – one of the world’s most prominent art, design and architecture academies – being ranked 15th in the world. The designers whose works are being showcased are all Aalto graduates and are represented by Juni.

Ilona Hackenberg will be presenting her royalty-inspired collection accessorised with ceramic jewellery designed in collaboration with Matias Liimatainen. Furthermore on show will be Maria Suomalainen’s collection – a result of her studies on the way that form and body can interact and complement each other.

The exhibition will also showcase Marianne El – Khoury’s pieces inspired by Parisian Haute Couture from the 1950s and ‘60s as well as holiday attire with Hawaii patterns and themed embroidery.

Lastly the visitors will be able to admire Anni Raasmaja’s minimalist collection featuring unique embroidery technique developed by the designer herself.

The exhibition’s private view will take place on February 2 at 6pm and open to open from February 3 – March 4, 2016.
